I saw a cockroach. It looked at me; I looked back at it.
I hate cockroaches (they are the devil 😈). They are creepy and disgusting.
A Few days back, I decided to observe how cockroaches behave in the dark. I know they like to come out and play at night or when a place is dark.
On the day of my mission, I switched off the light in my room for about 4 minutes to see if I could sight those devils crawling out from their hiding spot. Not surprising, after about 4 minutes, I sighted something that looked like a cockroach. I quickly switched on the light and saw one of my worst nightmares coming to pass: a giant cockroach. It paused and looked at me while moving its antennae—I looked back at it with utmost disgust. I felt an elevated level of adrenaline rush to strike it as hard as possible with a slipper.
Immediately I made a slight movement, it started crawling, looking for where to hide. I tried to hit it fast, but it crawled faster than the speed of light (lol, not at the speed of light—just very fast) and vanished.
I was restless for the whole day. I was switching off and switching on the light looking for the cockroach—I did not see it.
I wondered if the cockroach did not want to come out and play again. I think the cockroach was traumatized by my attack and decided to hide until it felt like coming out to play again.
The reasons cockroaches are on my top 5 most hated bugs:
- They are disgusting
- They are creepy.
- They can cause diseases
- They breed a lot.
- They release an irritating smell when you kill them.
- They can invade your space
- Some of them can fly
